A chestnut tree is generally a plant that needs very little care and that easily gets used to the surrounding environment, for this reason it can be found in many areas, even very different from each other. In Italy, for example, chestnut trees are present in all regions of the peninsula. Despite this adaptation, when you intend to grow a chestnut tree in your home garden, you must follow some rules, to ensure that the plant does not suffer, does not contract diseases and survives in the hottest and coldest seasons. This plant manages to find the substances it needs from the soil thanks to its roots, but during the hottest summer months, i.e. July and August, one must always remember to water it, as it only tolerates periods of intense heat for a few days. Two months of too high temperatures will weaken the entire structure. It is therefore essential to water the chestnut every day, at the base of the trunk and all the soil around it, thus allowing the roots to absorb as much water as possible.
